Why We Need You
We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to design and lead scalable, robust sportsbook platforms across Southeast Asia, ensuring seamless, high-performance sports betting experiences for users in Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and neighboring regions.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams, drive best practices and innovative solutions for online sports wagering platforms, and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision of our sportsbook architecture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement scalable sportsbook architectures capable of handling high bet volumes, real-time odds calculations, and in-play betting.
- Lead betting platform integrations with global and regional sports data feeds, risk management engines, and multiple odds providers.
- Optimize for performance and low latency, ensuring sub-second response times for live betting.
- Collaborate with product, trading, operations, and development teams to align technical solutions with sportsbook business models and compliance needs.
- Implement systems for fairness, anti-fraud measures, and regional regulatory compliance.
- Mentor distributed development teams across Southeast Asia, fostering architectural consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Innovate sportsbook features that enable rapid introduction of new markets, events, and engagement tools.
- Monitor, audit, and optimize sportsbook infrastructure based on KPIs and analytics.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in online betting, regulation, and technology stacks.
What You Bring to the Team
- 8+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years in architecture for high-concurrency systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in building, scaling, and optimizing sportsbooks or similar real-time platforms.
- Proven track record of integrating with sports data/odds providers (e.g., Betradar, Betgenius).
- Deep knowledge of betting market mechanics, settlement logic, and regional compliance.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C#, Java, C++, Python, Node.js, Vue, Angular).
- Expertise in cloud microservices architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud).
- Advanced database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL, event-driven systems, caching strategies).
- Strong skills with messaging and real-time technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebSockets).
- Experience managing cross-functional, distributed teams across Southeast Asia.
- Excellent written and verbal English; knowledge of regional languages (Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience launching or scaling sportsbook products in B2B or B2C markets.
- Familiarity with Asian/global betting regulations and responsible gaming features
- Involvement in odds pricing engines, trading desk automation, or in-play algorithms.
- Mobile-first sportsbook development and real-time integration expertise.
- Hands-on background in bonus engine design and retention strategies.
