Why We Need You
As a Senior Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and leading highly scalable, robust data systems that power advanced analytics, real-time insights, and operational excellence for gaming platforms across Southeast Asia—including Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. You will collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams, driving the architecture of data platforms supporting both operational and business intelligence needs. Mastery of data architecture, analytics frameworks, and distributed data infrastructure is crucial. While English is the primary working language, familiarity with Asian languages such as Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, or Vietnamese will strengthen cross-regional team collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect and Oversee Scalable Data Platforms

Lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale data systems (data lakes, warehouses, streaming architectures) that support gaming operations, analytics, reporting, and AI-driven personalization.

• Data Infrastructure and Integration
  

Design solutions that ensure seamless integration between transactional gaming systems and analytical platforms, enabling real-time and batch data flows.

• Data Governance and Security
  

Define and enforce standards for data quality, governance, security, and privacy (including compliance with local and international regulations).

• Collaborate with Product and Analytics Teams
  

Understand business objectives and analytics requirements, translating them into robust technical data solutions for real-time dashboards, user behavior analysis, and predictive modeling.

• Optimize Data Performance
  

Address scaling, performance, and latency issues for data ingestion, transformation, and querying in high-volume gaming environments.

• Lead and Mentor Data Engineering Teams
  

Guide teams in best practices for big data processing, distributed computing, and modern analytics pipelines.

• Technical Leadership and Innovation
  

Evaluate and implement modern data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink, Snowflake, BigQuery) and cloud-native data services to continually fuel platform modernization.

• Cross-Geographical Collaboration
  

Coordinate multi-region data strategies, ensuring consistency, compliance, and performance across Southeast Asian infrastructure.

What You Bring to the Team

• 8+ years of experience in software/data engineering, including 5+ years in architecture or principal data roles.
  
• Proven background designing and implementing scalable data solutions for high-performance transactional or analytics systems in gaming, fintech, or similar industries.
  
• Expertise with distributed databases (SQL, NoSQL), stream processing, and ETL/data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, RabbitMQ).
  
• Deep experience in cloud ecosystem data services (AWS Redshift/Glue, Google BigQuery/Dataflow, Azure Synapse, Aliyun data products).
  
• Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Scala, Java, Vue, Angular or Node.js for data processing and orchestration.
  
• Practical knowledge of data warehousing, real-time analytics, machine learning integration, and reporting platforms.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor data teams distributed across Southeast Asia and to foster collaboration in multi-cultural, multi-language environments.
  
• Familiarity with data privacy, security policies, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, regional data requirements).
  
• Excellent communication skills (English essential; Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, or Vietnamese a plus).
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills within complex, data-driven organizations.

Preferred Skills

• Direct involvement in developing and scaling gaming analytics platforms and data-driven recommendation engines.
  
• Implementation of streaming architectures supporting real-time personalized gameplay, anti-fraud measures, and operational monitoring.
  
• Hands-on participation in data governance programs and regulatory compliance audits.
  
• Experience with AI/ML platform integration in production gaming or entertainment environments.
